This site is a Black owned e-business created out of a love for the ancient cultural heritage of Africa. We seek to promote the beauty and creativity of Africa and its diaspora. Our purpose and goal is to encourage the international trade of African-created products. Through the cultivation and enhancement of a Pan-African market online, we intend to generate prosperity for Africa and its diaspora.
Our Symbol: The symbol that represents this site is called an Adinkra symbol. This symbol represents the unifying goal of this site: the creation of a Pan-African online Market. It comes from the Akan, who are mainly found in Ghana, West Africa. There are many adinkra symbols. They represent a rich and symbolic aspect of Akan culture.
The symbol that is used on this site is called Bese Saka, which translates to: "Sack of Cola Nuts". This symbol expresses the ideas of affluence, power, abundance, plenty, togetherness and unity. The cola nut played an important role in the economic life of the ancient Akan. This symbol also represents the role of trade in bringing people together, and it is our hope, here at Aseyori Market, to do the same!
