Aseyori Market recognizes that the concept of “art for arts sake” does not register with traditional African art. African art; drums, masks, sculpture, and jewelry has always been multi-dimensional and multi-purpose, always rooted in the mundane and spiritual practices of community life, never just intricate and beautiful, but meaningful, practical and functional as well.
