Nkabom translates to "unity" in the Akan language. Made in Ghana, this statue is a symbol of people coming together for a common cause. Made of wooden figures intertwined in standing position, this carving, made of Sesse wood, represents the idea that unity is strength. This item is both cultural and practical, as it can be used as a stand or resting place for a bowl, plate, or legs for a small table (see image).
